A registered dietitian nutritionist with 15 years experience, Barbara began her career in 1997 after receiving her Associate’s Degree in Dietetics from Briarwood College (now Lincoln College of New England) and working as a Dietetic Technician, Registered. Returned to obtain her educational pursuits, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Northern Colorado in 2010 and her dietetic internship from University of Delaware in 2011.

Barbara has worked in the areas of clinical nutrition in acute, sub-acute, and long-term care and educating clients in Medical Nutrition Therapy. Barbara has extensive experience in food service management, including menu preparation and food sanitation and safety maintaining her ServSafe Certification through the National Restaurant Association. At Maryann Meade & Associates she provides medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to adults and children.  She also works with accounts needing menu analysis as well as with home care clients.

Barbara is an active member in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as a member of Hunger and Environmental Nutrition, Pediatric Nutrition, Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition, Women’s Health dietetic practice groups.

In her private time, Barbara enjoys spending time maintaining a vegetable garden and preparing the produce she has grown. She is also an avid reader and crafter, enjoying basket weaving, knitting, and quilting.
